Musique et cinéma is a collaboration between two master artists: singer Bruno Pelletier and composer Guy St-Onge. The two artists, who had previously worked together during the Notre-Dame de Paris concert in 2011 during which Bruno reprised his “role” as Gringoire and for which Guy composed and conducted the symphonic accompaniment. On September 16, 2014, the album featuring twelve songs from twelve different movies (both francophone and anglophone) was released in stores throughout Québec and internationally on iTunes.

Each song, hand-picked by Bruno and Guy, was rearranged by Guy to take on a symphonic element. Not long later, a special “piano-voix” edition was released, featuring only Bruno’s voice and a simplified piano arrangement of each song, which is how the majority of the songs are presented in concert. Bruno and Guy soon began touring throughout Québec with their tour, Musique et cinéma: une rencontre. Though it began in late 2014, the tour will continue throughout early 2015, pause during the summer, and recommence in the Fall. The tour took Bruno and Guy, not only to Seoul, South Korea for Bruno’s first solo concert there, and to Moscow, Russia.
