LE TEMPS DES CATHÉDRALES ET Notre Dame de Paris ont littéralement bouleversé ma vie professionnelle il y a de cela 18 ans maintenant. Je vis depuis lors, des moments heureux aux quatre coins du globe, a chanter mon matériel et celui de cette formidable comédie musicale. C’est grâce à ce cadeau de la vie, si aujourd’hui, je peux faire mon métier, ici et ailleurs, et les répercussions collatérales se font sentir encore aujourd’hui et j’en demeure reconnaissant.

Une surprise inattendue est tombée dans ma boite courriel aujourd’hui et ma foi, j'en suis surpris et honoré. J’aimerais la partager avec vous.

 

JOSH GROBAN est, selon moi, une des plus belles voix au monde dans le milieu de la POP ou de la POP lyrique. Il a choisi de refaire une version du TEMPS DES CATHÉDRALES. Quel honneur qu’un chanteur de cette stature international reprenne cette chanson. Au-delà des comparaisons auxquelles certains voudront souscrire, sachez que pour le chanteur que je suis, c’est un moment de grande joie que de voir cette chanson, créée en 1997, revivre autrement par ce chanteur exceptionnel et en Français en plus. Je suis certain que Luc Plamondon et Richard Cocciante sont tout aussi heureux.

Les chansons doivent vivrent et survivrent à leurs interprètes. J’ai repris moi-même tellement de chansons de d’autres artistes. Ce n’est qu’honorer leur travail que de faire cet exercice avec des chansons que l’on aime et que l’on s’approprie.
